Terms of Service

Welcome to Mythio. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Mythio app and website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mythio. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf. We may require additional age verification in certain jurisdictions.

2. Your Account

To access Mythio, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at support@getmythio.com.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent or harmful behaviour.

3. Subscriptions

Mythio is offered as a paid subscription through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime through your App Store or Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access until then.

All payments, renewals, and cancellations are processed by Apple or Google, not by us directly. Their terms and refund policies apply to your purchase.

4. Refunds

We do not process refunds directly. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. You can request a refund through your App Store or Play Store purchase history.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

All content on Mythio, including audio episodes, scripts, artwork, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Your subscription grants you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable licence to stream and listen to content through the Service. You may not download, copy, redistribute, publicly perform, modify, or use any content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

The Mythio name, logo, and brand elements are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.

6. AI-Assisted Production

Mythio uses AI tools as part of our research, writing, and narration workflow. Every episode is developed with editorial oversight, synthesised from multiple sources, and fact-checked before publication. We believe in being upfront about how our content is produced.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or copy content
• Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service
• Interfere with the Service's security, infrastructure, or performance
• Use the Service in a way that infringes on the rights of others

We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these rules.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or depend on third-party services, such as the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and payment processors. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

9. Changes to the Service

We may add, remove, or change features of the Service at any time. We may also stop offering the Service, in whole or in part, though we will give reasonable notice where possible.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities. While we take care to research and fact-check our content, we make no warranty that every statement is accurate, complete, or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mythio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mythio from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively by the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

15. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

16. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
